I purchased the car last year from a woman who barely drove it (hence the miles). There is zero rust, only a few cosmetic blemishes from being over ten years old. I have the rear cargo cover/accessories in near perfect condition - I simply leave them out of the car. I think the B5 is a fantastic car, and this is a stellar example in a somewhat rare drivetrain/color combo. Anyway....we are planning on starting the grill around 2pm and going until 7ish or so.....Then getting EVERYONE (yes all euro cars) to roll out to the Tamarac and 225 meet (sonic meet) up , leaving around 730 so we can get good spots out there by around 815ish.

Who is in for this , I know it is short notice, but we want to also gauge interest given that it is a holiday weekend, and maybe tons of people are out of town....I dont know.

So I've talked about it for a long time, but I'm starting to get serious. I'm looking to transform my 2tone (grey/black) gls interior to the gli/20ae look with an all black interior. Haven't decided on what I wanna do with the seats, those are gonna be the last thing and likely the most expensive.

I've already sourced the following:

- Dome light/sunroof control
- Front center console
- Lower plastics
- Driver side kick panel
- Door cards
- GLI Door handles
- Carpet

I need to find the following:

- Rear center console (probably convert to cupholders and take out the armrest and rear ashtray)
- All the brushed pieces (ashtray cover, radio, lock pins, door pulls, pedals, etc.)
- All seatbelts w/ clips
- Rearview mirror (might convert to the smart mirror w/ compass n such)
- Visors w/ lights
- Mini visor (in front of dome light)
- Grab handles
- Rear reading lights
- Glove box
- Hood pull handle

*After some thinking and looking around, I think I'm gonna recover the roof, sunroof, pillars, gauges, door card inserts, trunk deck, weather stripping and perhaps part of the seats (either that, or have them all black with white stitching) done with a white/black plaid fabric. I'm not 100% confident with how the gli brushed trim pieces would look with the plaid, but if it doesn't look right, then I'll just sell the gli trim.

If anyone has this and is looking to part ways, or if you all know of any junk yards (I'll drive a good distance to save shipping) having some of this stuff that'd be a great help! Our vision is simple we want to develop a tune that will be optimally run on E-85 but if there is nowhere in sight to purchase the stuff then 91 octane unleaded fuel can be easily used without harm.

So far we have 4 cars signed up and we are looking for one more.

MK4 Jetta 1.8T AWP K04
MK4 Golf 1.8T AWW K03s
MK4 R32 NA 3.2L
MK5 Jetta 2.5L

We are still looking for a standard MK4 12V VR6 or a MK4 24V VR6 or another MK4 1.8T

What it Costs
Participant will need to pay up front for injectors and then pay for installation/custom tune which the price will be no more than a standard off the shelf tune. We will need the car for at least a full day and maybe 2 depending on how much tweaking we need to do.

This is a great deal for anyone out there. You are getting a full custom tune for basically the price of a standard one. To give some background info, United Motorsports was started by Jeffery Atwood. Jeff used to be a partial owner of C2 Motorsports and he is the one that developed all of the C2 software tunes. The time has come that we just don't need them anymore, and i don't have a car to put them in. They're in terrific shape. I've had them for a few years, but they spend most of their time in a car i hardly ever drove. I have two seats, and two sets of corbeau harnesses (color red). I have two sets of sliders if anyone is interested (doubt it) for a civic and for a miata.
